I would like to thank the voters of Eden Prairie for their support in honoring me with the privilege of serving as their representative for District 48B in the Minnesota House. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue my service to our community and to our state. My family and I truly appreciate the many kindnesses extended to us during the campaign and all of the efforts of our fantastic volunteers.
I would also like to thank my opponent, Tori Hill, for running a courteous race. We both stayed positive in presenting the voters with a choice, which is what I believe our community expects from its leaders.
The change in party control at the Legislature will mean new leadership in the Minnesota House and Senate, but the hard work of governing to accomplish the people’s business remains. I pledge to continue working in a bipartisan manner with all of my colleagues to craft a balanced budget that reflects the citizens’ priorities, enact policies that strengthen our economy and stimulate job growth and develop our current and future workforce. In January, I will begin surveying the district to gather local thoughts and opinions on important matters that may come before the Legislature. I will also continue my tradition of holding town hall meetings for gathering input and discussion. I hope all interested citizens will participate in these opportunities to share their thoughts and guidance as they help me do a better job as your representative.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me. I will work hard every day to earn it, and do my very best to serve all citizens of Eden Prairie and the great state of Minnesota.
Rep. Jenifer Loon
